You may remember that we profiled Lowfoot a few months back. And you may remember that the Toronto-based company pays its members to reduce their electricity consumption, and is actively working towards developing similar incentive programs for tracking water, natural gas and transportation.

Well, last week Lowfoot announced that it’s taken the first steps towards creating a private carbon and negawatt exchange, with Lowfoot credits now being available for purchase by corporations, organizations and individuals.

Conservation pays off. Pretty cool.
